Special Education Advocate/Consultant
Barbara has been a Special Education Advocate/Consultant since 1998. She consults with families and school systems on behalf of children with Special Needs throughout Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire. Barbara understands the importance of active, reflective listening and wise, compassionate questioning. Her advocacy benefits children and adolescents who have Learning Disabilities, Anxiety, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Depression, Attention-Hyperactivity-Disorders, or Social Pragmatics Communication deficits.

Since 2010, Barbara has been a volunteer mediator with the world-wide Communities For Restorative Justice program (C4RJ) which is an alternative to the criminal justice system. Volunteers help adults and adolescents learn to make wise and skillful decisions rather than go to prison. Barbara works with local communities and police in Concord, Littleton, Acton, Ayer, Groton, and Boxborough Massachusetts.
Barbara is proud to be the mother of 4 adult children and 9 grandchildren.
